Serving at Fort Street is one of the ways we practice faith together. These roles support worship, hospitality, learning, and care within the church, helping create a welcoming, thoughtful, and well-held community.

Worship & Sunday Hospitality

Help create a welcoming and grounded Sunday morning experience for all who gather.

Ways to Serve

  • Greeting and welcoming on Sunday mornings
  • Assisting with hospitality and flow before and after worship
  • Supporting accessibility and helping people navigate the building

These roles are especially meaningful for those who enjoy offering presence, warmth, and calm.

Coffee Hour & Community Life

Shared meals and conversation are central to Fort Street’s sense of community.

Ways to Serve

  • Setting up and tidying Coffee Hour
  • Preparing and arranging refreshments
  • Helping create a relaxed, welcoming space for connection
Children & Family Support

Volunteers help ensure children and families feel safe, welcomed, and supported during worship and Sunday School.

Ways to Serve

  • Nursery or Sunday School support
  • Assisting during Time for the Child in Us All
  • Helping children transition between worship and learning spaces

All volunteers working with children are background-checked and follow the church’s Child and Youth Protection Policy.

Music & Worship Life

Music plays a central role in worship at Fort Street, supported by both professional leadership and volunteers.
