With staff and volunteers arriving as early as 6 a.m. to begin preparing meals to be served on-site and sorting clothes to be distributed that day, Thursdays at Open Door see, on average, 300+ guests each and every week.

Career Closet, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. – Referral Required
The Career Closet works to address the clothing needs of men and women about to enter the workforce and more specifically those needing interview attire. As a referral-based program, the Career Closet utilizes a part-time social-worker who interacts closely with area job-training programs to assist our guests in; finding ‘work appropriate’ clothing, bolstering their interview skills, and polishing their resumes.
Guests utilizing the Career Closet’s services receive multiple outfits on their first visit and are welcomed back to acquire additional clothing once employment is secured.
The Career Closet, like all of the services Open Door offers, is free of charge to our guests and depends solely on the generosity of others for our clothing and support dollars.
